Auction for Achievers


Junior Achievement's 20th Annual Auction for Achievers took place on Thursday November 6th, 2008 at the Italian Center in Stamford, CT.  The evening included two auctions (silent & live), dinner, and entertainment. More than 150 wonderful items were included in the Silent Auction.  The live auction included many great items such as a Get-a-Ways, Catered Dinner Parties, and much more.  Howard Finkel, Ring Announcer for World Wrestling Entertainment was the guest Auctioneer.

Fundraising is only one aspect of the evening.  Junior Achievement takes the opportunity to thank an Outstanding Business Partner and an Outstanding Education Partner.  Each recipeint is awarded The Theodore White Partnership Award which is named in honor of former JA Board Member and volunteer.

The Karen Colangelo Outstanding Volunteer Award is presented annually to an outstanding volunteer/volunteers who "goes the extra mile" for JA.  The award has been named for Karen Colangelo, an advocate and champion of JA, who passed away suddenly at a very young age.
